The LS platform is growing quickly but you can't seriously think that it's top dog because of a few pics you saw on the internet?
No, top dog is still the big-block, and don't patronize me. I've been all over the industry: Drag Week, SEMA, Formula Drift, PRI, all of them are filled with LS engines. I've seen them with my very eyes. I just gave you real-world examples. Here are a bunch more:
Stock bottom-end 5.3L running 8.50
And another Drag Week turbo Mustang
Yet another Drag Week turbo Mustang
Clark Rosenthal's Drag Week engine
Alex Taylor's Drag Week Camaro
LS-powered late-model Challenger
Yes there are still new products for Gen 1 small-block being introduced, but it's shrinking. The market for Gen 1 small-blocks is trending more and more to 300hp crate engines for street rods and cruisers while high-end builds get blown LS engines. That's just the way it is.
