When I was a kid I was woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of my kite falling. It was a pirate ship kite, with colorful sails, and it fell pretty gently, but the rods in it rattled when they hit the ground. It had been on top of a cabinet where I could barely reach it. The cabinet sat about 4 feet from the end of my bed, and covered up the only window in the room that didn't have heavy blinds on it. In the room at night I could see, but just barely. What I saw shocked me so badly I could not move. It was a figure between seven and a half feet tall and eight feet tall with long bony fingers and no face. It had six fingers on the one hand I saw. No idea about the other hand. It had a somewhat longish bald head with no obvious sensory organs on it that I can remember. It moved very slowly, as if trying not to wake me, from the end of my bed to around the right side where I could no longer see it. I stayed unmoving and barely breathing for what felt like hours and eventually fell asleep. I was seven at the time.

I now suspect it was a case of sleep paralysis but the kite was gone in the morning
