What games have amazing sound design and best suited with headphones?

I have several sets of true full range speaker systems. Both towers go down into the low 30hz range, without my sub turned on. Rooms are also acoustically treated with bass traps:

The games that have impressed me sound wise so far have been:

  1. Battlefront Beta. Imo this games sound is the best so far. Movie grade (maybe even using some of the sfx sets?). Not overly compressed (closed to perfect). Wide soundstage without sounding phasey/smeared. Low end extension very good, maybe slightly less than what you would expect from a movie, but lots of impact. Good localization of sounds & depth. Even friends have commented how well the sound was done.

  2. PlanetSide 2's sound is also really well done. Even gun sounds go down into the subwoofer range. I think the way they map distance relative to sound level/tone/localization is off, but close firefights are movie like in sound. Enough low end extension & level that I rolled off some out of caution for my speakers, but the effect is impressive and chest shaking at times.

  3. Rocket League is surprisingly well done sound wise, but it will be the same sounds over and over. They're satisfying enough though that it doesnt really wear down on you. Surprisingly good low end extension, again low end that will shake your chest at time.

  4. BF4. Lost of good sounds, doesn't quit have as much low end extension as PlanetSide 2 imo. Very wide stereo field & "air", maybe a bit too wide (sounds like its using stereo widening techniques imo). Sounds are also very compressed. Still good presentation though due to the quality of source sounds & everything going on.

There have been a decent number of games I havent tried this generation though.
