Agreed, the Syndies do seem the most evil, and as a leftist I’d like to elaborate why!
The socialists who like Lincoln are almost exclusively from the west specifically America for obvious reasons, those from the Global South recognize he was still a massive bigot who lifted slavery not out of the goodness of his heart but due to political reasons, as people of color still suffered immensely despite their emancipation while the 13th amendment says specifically that criminals can and should be enslaved. Is it any surprise when people of color, like myself, are targeted to fill prisons? Not to mention Lincoln’s administration wiped the history of indigenous folks, like myself, clean building upon Manifest Destiny amongst other exceptionalism movements.
Nowadays the patsoc movement consists primarily of privileged white westerners unfamiliar with political theory or philosophy beyond a few cherry picked pamphlets within the “imperial core” who ignore the whims of marginalized groups that suffer under American hegemony both domestically and overseas. Their long history ignores other revolutionary movements and accomplishments that people of color have both succeeded at and failed, leading to the justification of organized smears and slanders from the mainstream media and American government, since racial chauvinism suggests the United States violent and bloody history was a fluke that’s been mostly repaired. Just as they cherry pick theory they cherry pick history.
Anyways sorry for the rant, I just felt like elaborating from a Marxist perspective as to why your claim is indeed correct, as it seems that the Syndies are definitely the worst. For anyone to uphold Marxism while providing a platform for an American president who wasn’t even a leftist let alone a fan of socialism with a red history of bigotry and violence shows just how truly bigoted and chauvinistic these people are. It shows that countries that colonize alongside even their best leaders have no room inside an ideology that promotes true egalitarianism and classlessness.
