Two years ago rumors started that the Principal, we'll call him Hawk-man, and the Vice Principal, we'll call her Marge, were having an affair. At first the whole situation was brushed off by most as just another stupid rumor, since both were married with kids; however, this one grew in popularity and starting spreading like wildfire, not just among students but around the whole district. One day, through an announcement we were told to call Marge by a new name for the reason that she got her doctorate, but in reality she had gotten divorced. People claimed that her now ex-husband was telling them that she was having an affair with Hawk-man. Soon after, it surfaced that Hawk-man had also gotten divorced. The "rumor" was now in full-swing. The "Senior Prank" that year was 2000 copies of papers were dropped in the main hallway, decorated with Hawk-man and Marge's faces inside of a heart with the caption "cutest couple 2014" above it. Not wanting to be apart of this corrupted system, the assistant superintendent left her job after that school year and went to a new school, opening up the position. What do you know, Hawk-man gets the job. But now who will be the principal? You guessed it. Marge. The other, better vice principal left the district as well after not getting the position. The following school year Hawk-man and Marge were seen together quite often, showing up to functions like basketball games and always sitting/standing together. That school year went on with constant rumor but not much development. Then came this past summer... They got married, confirming all rumors from the past two years. They built a house and are together now. The fact that they abandoned their families like this and our school (which is considered one of the top in the state) not only didn't fire them, but promoted both of them, disgusts me. Both still hold their promoted positions for this school year, and most likely will for years to come. TL;DR Principal & Vice Principal commit adultery, get promoted.
