You ever take a whole bunch of melatonin pills and half a bottle of NyQuil? It's not fucking fun. I was going through a bad period last year and would regularly drink a whole bottle of NyQuil(they say the stuff isn't alcoholic but something is it in. You drink a whole bottle and you'll be hallucinating shit on the walls and floor). One fine day I got the idea to combine melatonin pills and nyquil. I got really sleep really fast but for some reason couldn't actually fall asleep. I laid in bed for a bit and tried to go to sleep. I think I blacked out for all but a minute and woke up again. It was incredibly difficult to breath and literally impossible to move and no it wasn't sleep paralysis. I know what sleep paralysis feels like and this wasnt it. My muscles were so relaxed I literally could not move them for about an hour.

So take it from me kids, if you're thinking about drinking a whole bottle of NyQuil just don't. It's not fun.
