What life-altering things should every human ideally get to experience at least once in their lives?

I’d say a very bad break-up.

Might seem odd but you begin to learn about yourself a lot. When you thought things were going well and it suddenly ends. Maybe you fought to keep it because you thought it was right and it ends up being destroyed. You begin to see how you reason with it and how you come to terms with it. Losing someone very special to you and knowing that you can’t go back but you also want to at the same time. That’ll help in the long run. I lost my grandfather last year and I learned to cope. I had to accept and move on. It’s not that I don’t love him, and that the previous experience taught me things don’t stop. Life isn’t a story. Sometimes things just come to an end. What else can you do? Move on. Remember everything they taught you but also remember that life keeps going
