She made me have a breakdown and thought it was a joke. Knew her throughout middle and high school and she helped me get my first job where she and her then S/O worked. It was a dream place at the time and I owed a lot to her. She ended up getting into a huge fight with them and instead of working through it, flew out to another state to hook up and marry a guy she knew for less than a week. When she called to tell me about the engagement, I broke down and told her how dumb the choice was and how angry her parents would be. The entire call took place before my shift, and all she did at the end was laugh and tell me I was gonna be a great maid of honor. I don’t think she realizes how much it hurt me that she laughed, especially cause for three weeks I was left to deal with less-than-kind co-workers who both talked about us behind my back and to my face.. Ghosted/semi her about a year and a half ago, and I don’t regret it.
