What was the most soul-sucking job you ever had?

Bank teller - fuck that job and the entire corporate institution including the execs. Truly trashy people with horrible ethics and little to no soul. Being forced to "convince" people they needed new accounts or credit cards/credit limit increases was fucking awful and after a while I just couldn't do it anymore.

I had my regular customers, some poor some filthy rich but all of the ones that I bonded with were incredible people. I would see the poor ones struggle, I could see in their account that they were living pay check to pay check with the only charges being rent and minimal groceries. I refused to up sell the companies bull shit to them. For them, I would "accidentally" erase overdraft charges, expedite the release of the funds from their checks, and make sure to take the time to actually ask them if there was anything within reason that I could do to help them out.

Moral of the story, don't work for banks people. They will suck your soul and the souls of those you attend to
