What opinion about fitness do you have that would be unpopular here or is completely opposite to fitit's general advice?

I hate how against this place people are for CERTAIN reasons. I got my start in my home about 13 yrs ago on a treadmill every day for 30 mins. When i lost a lot and got a little more confident and knew i needed to take the next step, i started at PF. It was the only place i could afford! Thats gonna be my first argument here. I dont rake in the cash and even today with all my progress, this is my gym because its what i can afford. That being said, all along my journey i have liked PF because i never felt uncomfortable there. I knew there were gyms for the real serious lifters and the super major hot girls and i didnt wanna go there. My sister goes to one of those gyms and god forbid anyone use a machine the wrong way or holy shit "squat in the rack"!! ( i dont even know what that means and ive avoided all "racks" in fear of accidentally squatting anywhere near them)Ive had to hear it about how it pisses off her and her husband. People are judgmental and crude. No one is ever just allowed to be new, or a beginner, or just not pro and trying to figure shit out. I know thats gonna happen anywhere, but i only mention it because i feel it less when im at PF than when i go work out with her or other friends in their legit gyms. I once had my trainer show me how to do hip thrusts using leg extension machine, and actually had a girl approach me and tell me what an ass i was making of myself and that i should stop "experimenting" before i hurt myself. Shit like this...is why i stay at my gym because people mostly keep their heads down, do their workout and leave. I like that about it. Yes you will find assholes everywhere, i know. On the other hand i WILL say that PF has turned into like a high school because thats also who can afford it. Its VERY over crowded, a lot of people arent serious and so they fuck around on machines and thats always the last workout you need to do...and if they would only offer classes it could make up for so much more people being there. Thats all , im just saying PF isnt the greatest but it works for some people.:end rant:
