What is probably your most elitist viewpoint?

My parents immigrated to Canada with no work experience, no education and no money. They worked labour/warehouse jobs and eventually started their own businesses thanks to government support. By the time I was born in the late 80s, they were collectively making 220K per year.

Don't tell me that no other country in the world allows for that level of socioeconomic mobility. My mom didn't even finish elementary school.

The best part is that when my grandmother and myself each had surgeries years ago, they didn't have to spend a dime of their hard earned cash to ensure we got amazing health care. Instead, they got to retire early, and donate much of their money to charity.
