When I was 13, I had study lessons with a math tutor after school. Because I was the only student for my year that studied under him, this other 14 year old girl would join in the study session as well and he would teach us both. One time I had recently sat down for a math test in school so during one of our study sessions, my tutor had asked me how much I scored on the test. I scored a perfect 100 on it. When I told him my results, he praised me for my accomplishment which helped a lot with my confidence and staying motivated to keep working hard but then the other student chimed in by saying how easy the math tests are for my year. It seriously bugged me back then how she couldn’t just be happy for me or at least keep her thoughts to herself lol. She might’ve been right but I was very happy at the time with how well I did.
