Well there are realities to this notion - it’s much more apparent in Europe than America where wealth and power is stratified and in ways ordained/honored through social rituals. Like- this is the way it is - let’s hail the queen and get on with it.

I have cousins in Europe more closely aligned to my “old family” than those who left for America. Time spent in proximity to them and the people around them is creepy. My dad has refused to allow us to go back to a certain part of that continent because a certain Earl made several passes at me, when I was an 11 year old boy. Nothing awful happened to me beyond that, because I was taught that behavior was wrong and to speak up for myself.

It’s just like weird. Because I think many theories about pedo royals are overblown yet I’ve met them and got that treatment while technically being related.
