What urban legend is actually true?

This is one of my favorite stories to tell people.

There's this urban legend somewhere in Pennsylvania about "The Green Man" (or "Charlie No-face"), who apparently walks the street at night or something.. I'm not sure what exactly was said to happen if he caught you, but it probably wasn't good. The thing is, this legend is partly true- except for the whole spook factor part of the legend.

The green man was actually a fairly normal man named Raymond Robinson.

Well, mostly normal- he had a horrible accident when he was young that severely disfigured his face. And, of course, if people were to see his face in public, it would cause some hullaballoo. But Mr. Robinson didn't want to spend the rest of his life cooped up, so each night, he would go for a walk, wearing his favorite green sweater. He walked at night so he wouldn't cause any public disturbances or anything. And, of course, when people saw him at night, urban legends were spawned. The people who have met Raymond and talked to him say that he's actually a very pleasant fellow.. just with a horrible face. I believe he's been dead for over 20 years now.
