What will make more? Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 or Spider-Man: Homecoming

But Civil War took $400m more than Winter Soldier, which itself took $335m more than Cap I.

Iron Man 3 almost doubled Iron Man 2, which underperformed but still did ~$40m more than Iron Man (and is easily the weakest Marvel sequel).

Thor II made $200m more than Thor.

Only Avengers 2 made less than the original, but at $1.4bn to $1.5bn, it would be a stretch to say it underperformed. Once you're in the $bn's, all bets are off. Only 10 films have broken $1.2bn and only 6 have broken $1.5bn (admittedly, 3 of those in 2015).

So, as much as you want to make it sound like you have some amazing insight into movies, you're basically pulling a number out of your arse and considering none of the factors of the brand itself and how the MCU performs as a whole.

As I said, useless to discuss with. You pulled a number out of your arse and then you lumped me in with everyone else to justify your dumb answer. Well done.

(Oh, and yes, you can have a look at my history - I thought Dr Strange would reach $750m and still think it will do more than $700m. As it is, it will get very close, though it may end slightly on the short side. But at least I have some reasoning other than - 'well, everyone else is an idiot, so here's my idiotic comment'.
