Yes, there is. They are currently on the brink of repeating the 90's famine. And I don't care what anyone in this thread says, NK is the worst place on earth. I've read about 10 books on the subject, by very respected journalists (e.g. Barbara Demick) who have interviewed real North Koreans who have escaped.

North Korea is essentially a very large prison. It's a place you have to escape. There's very little food, and it's very closed off to the outside world. The smartphones, which very few have, are limited to within the country, same as their internet, which is basically just NK propaganda.

The place is hell on earth.
