After hearing about this I think all these young guys probably need to know. Advice to all of the "friendzone" guys:
Being friends with a girl, even an attractive one with no sexual attachments is not a bad thing. Having a personal nonsexual friendship can provide a lot of valuable insight that you won't get from your bros. She might even try to set you up. If you do this though, don't be a doormat, establish proper boundaries, and date other women.
Make your intentions with the girl clear very early. If you are uncertain how she feels about the relationship ask her. If she says you are friends or deflects, that is your cue to move on. Do not wait for a girl to change her mind about you. Chances are she won't.
