What is your current (or foreseeable) childcare arrangement like?
I want to be in a dual income household (both working). I live in the GTA and there will be students loans and mortgages for both of us to pay. Realistically, there's no way that either one of us could be a stay-at-home-parent due to the expenses (unless my future SO's career is in CS or something, which would be preferable for me).
I'm planning to go into teaching and I personally like the field with regards to my own ease with raising children. There are a few options I'm considering with regards to my 9-5 job time management: dropping my child to either my parents home or daycare and then picking them up, night school job so that my SO can take care of child when hes home or an online teaching gig.
I'm fine with daycare tbh, dont really see an issue with it.
I dont mind taking time off work to raise my kids too, as long as the expenses are met. However, like you said I'd tale out time to volunteer or contribute to my career/field.
