It wasn’t so much funny at the time but it put a grin on my face minutes afterwards.

There were these boys that would harass me in the hallways in high school, typically in really juvenile ways like yelling my name in a high pitched voice and then giggling when I looked, which I unfortunately did a few times on instinct.

One morning I passed them on the way to class, and inevitably, they did it. I was cranky and tired so I turned to yell at them and give them a death glare, which probably would have been counter productive but again, tired and cranky, not thinking properly.

However, when I turned around, I didn’t even get a word out before I heard a man’s voice behind me sternly ask: “What’s going on here?”

I turned and saw a teacher we all called Señor Law. Señor Law was a notorious hardass, and though I was never in his class, my sister was and she and her friends had a little song after him: “Señor Law gonna kick your beep!, kick your beep!” (Beeps were part of the song, not me censoring anything).

The boys started panicking and trying to wave it off, but Señor Law looked at me and asked if they were bothering me. I said yes, and he told me to run along to class. I did, leaving the obnoxious boys to their fate. They never bothered me again.

I maaay have giggled while I ran off to class.
