I totally get that mentality and it works great if you're landing with/near another team

But in this particular anecdote: we landed at Wall on Storm Point (straight out of the drop ship fyi) with no other teams. Octane drops on the building closest to command center and then books over there. No teams were there either. I was able to catch up to him though (and still had better loot). He continues to run to Cascade with the loot he dropped with. He jumps a team (who probably already fought a couple other teams already) and dies instantly. While my other rando I and were able to 2v3 bc we had spent a couple extra seconds looting before making the cross-map treck
