What is your opinion about Anita's Serkeesian quote about Japan?

I think what you're trying to say is that it doesn't matter what group you belong to, because you'll end up facing whatever sexism/racism/etc that is "against" you. If I'm wrong, please clarify. If I'm right: The problem here is that all "sets of behaviors" (which I'm interpreting to be the set of sexism/racism/etc you'll encounter, based on who you are) are not made equal. If you're a black woman, you have to deal with a lot more bullshit that actively impacts your day to day life, than if you're a white man. I'm not really sure how this follows from my earlier point, though.

Unlike racism gender roles are bidirectional. What ever exspectations were placed on women equally harsh exspectations were placed at on men.Married women couldnt own property or take ownership of the kids but married men were exspected to feed and cloth them and provide for them in many many. Women got to sray at home taking care of the kids while their husbands worked. Thanks to technology gender roles have become less nessary.Feminism has done a very good job at challenging the exspectations placed on women but virtually nobody has do anything to challenge these same exspectations being placed on men. The us constitution the highest lawin the land still has a law that's sexist against men -selective service a relic of the male. The last time the US constitution contained a law that was biased against women was nearlily a century ago when women go the right vote. Concidentally not many people know that these two laws are tied togethe r and are the greatest example of bidirectional sexism. Women couldn't vote because they couldnt serve in the army. There wasn't any law explicitly saything this however when the 26th Amendment was passed (lowering the voting age to 18), the primary argument was that 18 year olds were old enough to be drafted into the military, but not old enough to vote. The menatily was that you should have the right to vote in the leader who will decide to kill you. This is why blacks got the women a century before women did.
