I was raised in a cult and once free, I spent time outside of any kind of religious anything. I tell you, I can see the lies in them all and have learned never to trust anything over myself. Healing my traumatic past involved the replacement of cult indocterination. I still do not trust any being, cosmic universe, whatever, over myself and I've learned the really truly unconditionally loving beings don't need me to because they respect my free agency. I don't prescribe to one set of beliefs or a religion and never will. I do prescribe to most versions of spiritual protection, however. Keep your free agency at all costs and you'll be fine.
