I’ve had cannabis induced psychosis twice, both times from eating too much edibles and both lasted about 10 hours. Lots of people don’t believe cannabis induced psychosis is real, but it is and it’s terrifying. It is the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced in my life. Auditory hallucinations and paranoia for hours on end. The first time I was convinced I was being tracked down by alien police, I kept referring to them as “space police” and wouldn’t let my boyfriend move or even fucking breathe for minutes at a time because I was convinced they were right around the corner listening. The second time I sat on my bathroom floor hearing crickets and frogs and a running stream. I couldn’t see anything, my vision was pitch black and I thought I was in a jungle. There came a point where I kept asking my boyfriend if I had died and if I was in hell, and what I did to deserve it. It was genuinely the most terrifying fucking thing that had ever happened to me. I don’t go near edibles now. Both times it was literally like being in hell. Words can’t do justice how terrifying it was.
