In my senior year of high school, my multimedia teacher picked several students from our class to participate in a competition called 'Skills USA'. I went with my best friend to Grand Rapids, MI where it was being held. We were there for film making, but the competition is massive and includes hundreds of different categories. The first night there we gathered in the auditorium of this really extravagant hotel that I will probably never be able to afford to step foot in again. We were all required to dress in formal attire and watch the opening ceremony. It didn't help that my best friend and I were snickering to each other as we sat there, like two kids trying not to laugh in church. Anyway, the higher-ups of the establishment thought it would be impressive to have the ceremony hosted by students. These students had been trained extensively in public speaking and communications. However, the crew consisted of roughly five teenagers dressed in uncomfortable suits and dresses, each more awkward than the last. Every student host became super nervous on stage and struggled to read their lines on the teleprompter. Their voices cracked, beads of sweat crept down their faces, they froze with fear, and one farted. And when I say "farted", I'm not referring to a hardly audible poof -- I mean a distinct, thunderous ripping of ass that echoed across the auditorium (the room had wonderful acoustics) and made the audience literally gasp! I laugh so hard that I couldn't breath and tears were streaming from my eyes, causing my contact lenses to fall out and dry up. I was blind for the entire competition. It was worth it for the laugh.
