I do agree with you, but I also do hate some popular things. I do have reasons for them though.

I can't stand watching The Walking Dead because all the acting is flat and the dialogue is poorly written, both of which make it so that I have a hard time caring about any of the characters. They keep reusing the same storyline every season; the survivors find a new place to live, where they meet and befriend another group of humans nearby who turn out to be complete pieces of shit, they all get imprisoned and occasionally mudered, then they escape and have a war against them. It's predictable and boring. Also, the show stopped being about a group of people surviving zombies and became more about a group of people not seeing eye to eye. It's supposed to be a zombie story, yet every episode has less and less zombies unless the plot calls for their new home to be swarmed by them.

I dislike the Kardashians because they're the most talked about people in the world and young girls look up to them as role models. Yet, they contribute nothing good to society or even the entertainment industry and aren't exactly paragons of virtue in any way. Their careers revolve around sex and relationship drama and I don't think that's a good thing for teenage girls to look up to. Personally I don't think anything they've ever done has been interesting.

I will never understand people who don't see the appeal of certain social media though, that's just silly. "I hate Twitter but I have a Facebook account that I use every single day!" Like Twitter and Facebook aren't two sides of the same fucking coin. They serve the same purpose and even have the same trending topics. I don't see why people can hate one but use the other, that makes no sense to me.
