What's the saddest way one of your classmates has died?

When I was in beauty school, there was a woman there in her fifties- Jackie. Her creativity and talent made her the most recognized student in school; everyone knew she was going places. On top of that, she was the sweetest, friendliest, most over the top woman you'd ever meet. She was basically Suga Mama from the Proud Family, if you remember the cartoon. One day after school, she took the bus home as usual, and her ex-husband happened to be on as well.
When the bus came to her house, he dragged Jackie off the bus, shot her in the head, and held her grandbabies hostage within her home. There was a SWAT team standoff for most of the day, until they shot him.
School was cancelled for the rest of the week.
I distinctly remember the news covering it that evening, using exactly one sentence. They mentioned her murderer's name, but not hers. I was so angry; here was this woman, so vibrant and full of life, murdered in the most horrific fashion... and they gave him airtime.
Every year, every single one of us from school, every person that knew her, pays tribute to her in some way. The school still holds a competition for the students each year in her honor; the most creative mannequin earns a prize (usually tickets). Jackie was an amazing artist, and our favorite Suga Mama.
