What's the weirdest way you've made a friend?

One of my closest friends I had instantly bonded in a somewhat strange way. We happened to have taken the same automotives course during our debut into highschool and, on our first day, were both assigned to vacuum out the same car (vacuuming would turn out in later years to be the only thing we or anybody else would be allowed to do in automotives class for the rest of highschool, but that's a different story).

So buddy and I are assigned to this car, are given a shop-vac, and are told to suck up any dust or crud that's been left in the vehicle so that we can work on it later. We open up the vehicle to see what the deal is, and lo and behold the entire interior is a complete disaster. The guy who brought his car in (the school would take people's cars for cleaning and minor repairs at a 'discount rate' so they didn't have to constantly find new vehicles) was a bit of a slob, and left all sorts of shit in his ride. Old food containers, dirty clothes, rags, kleenex, crusty socks, you name it. The entire inside was like a combination between a McDonalds garbage bin and a hoarders den.

Being 14 and not wanting to bare-hand all this bullshit, our mutual decision was to just move all his clothes to a bench, grab a garbage bin to deal with the big ticket items, and just shop vac anything else that could physically fit into the hose. We go to turn on the vacuum, turn the business end of the hose to the carpet, bring it forward to deal with the brunt of the mess and immediately suck up a pair of socks. This normally wouldn't be that big of a deal, were it not for the jovial WHUNK noise that followed it. For whatever reason at the time that noise was the most hilarious thing we'd experienced in our years of existance, and so the rest of the hour was spent finding anything that was big enough to replicate the sound. One full shop vac and several WHUNKs later, the two of us had become thick as thieves. Still friends with the guy today.

Never did learn anything in automotives, though.
