What's your unpopular opinion about non-monogamy?

Are you from the US, by any chance? With most of this subreddit I feel like there's a great rift between us (our triad) and the rest of the subreddit, probably due to the predominantly US-based userbase.

It feels as if we're talking past each other with no chance for reconciliation or finding common ground. I imagine our cultural differences are the greatest factor in that.

Could you then agree to the statement that different cultures have different attitudes, relationships, values, and standards when it comes sexual matters, and that these differences should be respected and not thought of as a lapsing from some universal standard as long as they don't hurt anybody and are mutually agreed on?
