All of them with few exceptions. I've mentioned this here before but my family has a superstition that goes back to the nineties when it comes to buying jerseys for active players. The way the story goes is that in the middle of the '94 season my Aunt and Uncle bought a dog and named him Sterling. As a joke they thought it would be funny to make their Christmas card a picture of him in a Sterling Sharpe jersey.
Sterling Sharpe proceeds to get a career ending injury.
From there the curse spread. In 1996 my dad bought little four year old me a Robert Brooks jersey. Brooks gets a knee injury the same season, has a beast year in '97, but is never really the same player and retires shortly afterwords. During the same season dad buys himself a Desmond Howard jersey. Howard is traded the following season and does absolutely nothing after that. Following Reggie White's retirement announcement my Uncle decides it's safe to buy his jersey. Reggie White does not stay retired. The curse also spreads to other sports at this point. My mom buys the jersey of a St.Louis Cardinals player I've long since forgotten and days later he's traded. My dad gets me a Pavol Demitra jersey in 2003. Demitra has a poor season, hockey is locked out the following season so he plays in Russia and when he comes back he leaves the Blues to play in LA.
At this point the family decides to make it a rule that any jerseys we buy in any sport can't be for active players. The first jersey purchased after this rule is implemented goes to me. It's a Brett Favre jersey.
This is in March of 2008.
So yeah, I've been unhappy with almost every jersey purchase I've ever made. I didn't actually start buying jerseys with names other than my own until last year when I finally broke down and allowed myself to buy a Donald Driver jersey. Hopefully I don't regret that one.
I've also played with the idea of getting a second Favre jersey but I refuse to do so until he's in Canton and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he's not coming back.
