When did you realize your “friends” were actually fake friends?

When one made up a pretty terrible lie about me, telling the rest that I did something terrible, and then they all dropped me without so much as even asking for my side of the story or requiring a single shred of evidence.

We had been friends for years, they seemed to really like me and always want me around, I'd always been very good to them, and never given them a reason to doubt me AFAIK.

This has actually happened twice in my life with two separate lies & friend groups.

I don't need such disloyal & gullible people in my life. It's amazing how stupid people can be, both claims were absurd and without evidence... to the contrary...
