Toddlers understand consent, since they can consent to a lot of things, like wanting ice cream.

They do not, however, understand the sheer amount of responsibility that comes with having sex. To have sex is to risk your rubber breaking (if you have one) getting (your girlfriend) pregnant and having to support a child until it can support itself. Having sex means you should be ready to face all of that, it's just that simple. Now I know toddlers can't get pregnant and they also cannot make women pregnant. Guess why that is... because they aren't fucking ready!

I don't hate pedophiles per se, it's a sexual orientation just like being straight or gay. The problem is that it's fucking illegal and immoral. Being a pedophile is not a problem unless you act on it. Acting on it makes you a monster and you deserve every punishment you get. But I have every respect for a pedophile that logically reasons with their sexuality and knows they will have to remain in abstinence for the rest of their lives. It's a curse, they know, but they also know that being a pedophile is not what makes you an immoral monster. Acting on it does.
