White men of reddit, what are some prejudices you face in society?

As a young man you are regarded as a criminal or potential criminal in a whole lot of circumstances (especially if you are on your own), and your motives are always suspect. People don't really care whether you succeed or fail; you're treated by society like an unpleasant burden even if you are just minding your own business. You are encouraged to take unnecessary risks with your health and even your life, whether that be in your hobbies or in your choice of career.

Being a young man is hard in a lot of rarely discussed ways. We should stop letting people divide us up based on race and sexual orientation and start looking out for each other, especially for one another's emotional well being and life safety. We (men) are consistently less happy and less long lived than our female peers, and that's because we don't advocate for ourselves the way women do and there is no culture of awareness for men's issues.
