Who is this Clegane dude and why is the internet interested in his bowl?

I will preface this by saying POTENTIAL GAME OF THRONES/A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE SPOILERS.

Clegane refers to either Sandor Clegane (The Hound) or Gregor Clegane (The Mountain). Two brothers from got/asoiaf who hate each other. The Mountain mutilated The Hound when they were young and now The Hound bears horrible disfiguring scars.

Cleganebowl is the theory that they will have a massive fight.

It comes around like this:

The Hound was left for, and assumed, dead. However in the books a a one off background character called The Gravedigger was heavily, heavily hinted to be him, found by a religious order and nursed back to health, now repenting his former violent life and living a life of peace and silence on the Quiet Isle. But until the beginning of this season, when Ian McShane who is cast as a combination of the figure who leads another character to the Quiet Isle and the head Monk/Priest guy of this island (Septon Meribald and The Elder Brother) confirmed in a radio interview that he's reintroducing The Hound, it had been assumed Gravedigger wouldn't be making a tv appearance. Now it's looking certain that he will be back after all.

The Mountain also supposedly died after being poisoned during a trial by combat but was supposedly brought back in a zombified state as Robert Strong. The tv show has now confirmed Robert Strong is The Mountain.

It's been hinted in the books and now confirmed on tv that Cersei Lannister will undergo a trial by combat for crimes against The Faith, and it's likely The Mountain will be her champion. The Cleganebowl theory goes that The Hound will be picked as The Faith's champion now he's one of them on the Quiet Isle and it will unite the two brothers in an all out bloodbath with violence through the roof and fights for vengeance on The Hound's side finally being realised. Though who will win is up for debate.

TL;DR GET HYPE
