Who is a stranger you still remember and why?

This happened in the winter time. One day it was snowing like a bitch and I was on my way to a friends house to play some guitar. I was holding a guitar (hard case) in one hand and a bass (soft case) in the other with an amp in my backpack (it's a portable one). Bass was pretty heavy, but the hard case was/is a nightmare.

Anyways, I'm on my way to the bus stop to go to my friends house (it's a short walk but I have to get through a busy intersection to get to the bus stop, but it's still less than a block away) and while I'm walking a nice old lady offered me her pair of gloves, but I politely declined and told her I could just wait at the bus stop with my hands in my pocket.

Then as soon as the first interaction happened another lady pulled over with her van and offered me a ride, she told me because her daughter plays an instrument and she has to haul her case around everywhere she knows what it's like. She also had an extra pair of gloves she accidentally bought that she insisted I had.

It it was just pretty incredible have two different people offer their own stuff to a random teenager in the span of only a couple seconds. But hey, that's Canadian Mother's for you.

I always keep that pair of gloves on me all the time when it's snowing/cold now just in case someone needs them, and I'll never forget how those random strangers cared for me. It's a nice reminder there are still a lot of great people in this world.
