Wife says I should “have no opinion” about kids’ education

Imagine being brainwashed enough to think that a woman with two graduates degrees who has moved cross country alone and had a successful career at a university in NYC can't think for herself.

And I am absolutely done with the idea that women who are conservative / Catholic / Christian / Orthodox Jewish / Any traditional religion are "brainwashed."

Women can think for ourselves. We can have our own opinions. You can think I'm wrong and I can think you are wrong; that doesn't make either of us "brainwashed," just in disagreement. Women do not have to conform our hearts and minds to whatever politically correct orthodoxy is currently in vogue among the Think-Piece Class.

I grew up in the small town Midwest where women speak their minds - liberal women, conservative women, all women. When I moved out to the East Coast I was \shocked** at the culture among professional class women here who bully each other into ideological conformity. I was shocked at how many of my "well educated" and "empowered" female friends would say one thing in public to please other people and then whisper what they really thought in private.

Oh, hell no.

I am a country woman, and country women do not meekly shut up and bend the knee.
