Will we see more "alt-right" Congressional candidates running in 2018? What districts would they be most competitive in? What are their chances of forming a significant bloc in Congress?

The term "alt-right" was originally coined by a white nationalist, way back in 2010ish. It has been used for the last couple of years to identify what could be called the "new-right". The "new-right" have just now learned what the term really means. Since the white nationalists aren't letting go of the term and are in fact riding the wave of this new populist movement, the "new-right" want to rebrand since they aren't down with white nationalism. Time will tell what they end up going with as not all of them have even figured out that is is happening yet. Of course there is some overlap, but the amount of true white nationalists, I believe anyways, is rather insignificant.

Other than that I think your post is pretty on point except the "new-right" is not something to disregard. They are the other end of the spectrum and comparable to the progressive left imo. They will be swallowed up by the republican party and become part of their base for the next decade or so depending on how the democrats react. Judging by how the democrats have double downed after this election I don't think that will change.
