[WP] You, along with thousands of others, had been under the mind control of the villain, working as their henchmen until they were defeated. It's been so many years, you don't really know yourself anymore...

I am towering over a small child, its red wet cheeks shocking as the tears ran down. A bloodied wrench slips out of my hand.

''What?''

The child stares at me, her large glistening eyes flashing between me, the wrench and the victims behind me. I see her confusion, her fear. My thoughts are a mess as I slowly sink to the ground. ''What...?''

She notices the difference in my behavior, and as she sees me squat to the floor, hands on the top of my head with my arms blocking my face, she slowly crawls up from the floor. I can feel her stare on me for a short moment, until I heard the clacking sound of her soles echo through the large hall until it finally fades away.

In the silence I sit. I try to understand, but I can't.

''What have I done?''

The images flash before my eyes. Eon, the leader of our nation, standing before me. ''You are all soldiers now. You are the guardians of this world. And you will do everything to protect it.''

I see the images of a woman and a baby. Its wrinkly fingers are curled up around a slender finger. The woman smiles at me, but her eyes are sad. ''I know these people...'', I exclaimed.

I raise from the floor. As I slowly turn around I see the chaos around me. Tables lying on the floor, chairs broken in half and scattered through the hall. Red smears covered the carpet and the walls. My stomach turns. The bodies lay on the floor, yet their dead eyes stare at me.

''Look at what you've done'', they say.

My body starts to tremble. ''No....no...'' I stutter, and with weakened legs I hobble towards the green light of the emergency exit door. ''I can't have done this. This is not who I am.''

But I know that's not true. I know what I've done. It might not have been my intention, or my conviction, but it was my doing. But I don't want to believe it. That's not who I really am. Someone else did those things for me. As I reach the door and walk outside, a fresh breeze whirls around me. The cool air calms me down, but my heart still pounds in my chest. I look around, to see if anything is familiar. A light flares up in the distance. ''People...'', I stammer. I start walking towards the light, towards the life it radiates. The blinking light comes from the middle of a parking lot, and no one is there. ''Hello?'', I scream.

Nothing.

An explosion in my head causes me to fall down. As my face, shoulders and chest hit the pavement, all I can think is that someone has to save me. ''Is anybody there?'' is my last thought.

My conscience is silent. Instead, as my vision blurs, I hear is a raspy, rawer version of my own voice before I pass out.

''Yes.''
