[WP] It was a dark and stormy night...

The father instinctively holds the boy in both hands and walks over to the little girl. "Are you okay?", he asks her. "Yeah. I do feel kinda weird though." "Why?" "I don't know, I just feel kind of...", she then mimes cutting her stomach open and then slitting her throat. "What the fuuuuck. Where did you see that?", he says as easy as he can. "Lynn and Rake. They told us how to find momma." "What?" The cat stands full arch on the girl's legs, ears back, teeth bared. The dogs start slamming the back door. The father looks back at the dogs and the door and pauses, then looks at the little girl and pauses, then looks at the cat and pauses. He then looks at the T.V. and meets the dead stare of Lynn and Rake, eyes bleeding and bodies decomposing, not like a cartoon, but like they were real. The little boy starts crying and puts his head into his father's shoulder, screaming "No, No, NO" over and over again. He looks back to the cat, that runs to the T.V. and cracks the screen, then back to the legs of the little girl, back arched, gold eyes solid black. At this he says, "Moira, grab Mr. Tabynson and come into the kitchen." "But momma's on the ceiling." The father looks up. "Nikole, Nikole!" He runs to the stairs. "NIKOLE!" Lightning strikes very close outside. It starts raining. The second floor is silent. The dogs continue their assault on the back door. "Moira, grab Mr. Tabynson and go into the kitchen." "But momma..." I don't care, get the cat and get into the kitchen," the father says as he looks up the stairwell. The four year old keeps screaming "No, no, no...". He looks back to the T.V. The two cartoon characters look back, eyes bleeding and decomposing over and over again. The static from the T.V. gets louder. The little girl huddles behind the cat. The cat's claws grip the cushion, little pops sound at its claws pierce the vinyl. "Moira," the little girl ignores him, "MOIRA!", the little girl turns to him, the cat set on the T.V., the dogs' growls seeming to come from other animals. "Honey, I don't know what the fuck is going on, but you need to get Mr Tabynson in the kitchen and you need to do it know." and while you're at it, let the dogs in." But the dogs ain't allowed...." "I know honey but just this once we let them in", he says as he pushes the little girl with cat in arms into the kitchen without breaking eye contact with the cartoon characters. On the way out he swears he hears "What is owed in blood is paid in blood." He sets the boy down, the little girl holds the cat towards the living room with tears starting to run down her face. The T.V. start moving towards the kitchen.
