It was a cold dry and windy day. The streets were busy and lit up as if the people were putting on a show for the man up stairs. The crowds were intense and getting more aggressive while going on 6:00 o'clock. There were millions of people crawling on the floor that afternoon, and despite the governments efforts, there fate would meet as if there actually were a man up stairs wanting this to happen. The chances of these two people ever encountering each other were illogical to even consider, but somehow someway it happened.

Joseph was a normal guy with a normal job and a normal life, the only abnormal thing in his life was his secret. His secret was nothing impressive, nor amazing. It was more of an inconvenience then anything. He believed that no person would ever care, let alone have any desire of association with him if anyone found out. After all, the ability to turn gold into dirt isn't a very useful ability to acquire in today's economic system.

Joseph was not alone in the world. There was another like him, but not exactly with same curse Joseph acquired. Cole was also a pretty normal guy, but he was a little more reckless than Joseph. Cole didn't have a really good life. He just lost his job and he had a bad gambling problem. Coles gambling problem was tearing into his life apart and destroying his relationships with his friends and family. He almost had nothing except for a beat down apartment and about a million dollars in a safe underneath his bed. Now you see Cole might have had a million dollars, but he refused to spend a single cent. Cole had a special ability, he had the ability to turn a large amount of currency into gold. The more currency he had, the better the ratio of gold per currency he got. Cole was saving up, he was saving up big.
