[WP] You wake up and notice the text "Quick save loaded." above your head, slowly fading.

I squinted at the sheer white light emanating off chrome letters in blinding contrast to my otherwise pitch black room. "Quick save loaded" I mumbled to myself, as I threw back my dark green covers and put on my wiry frame glasses. "What the heck is this?" I thought to myself, it was very hypnotic, spinning in slow circles and fading ever so slightly. I slowly reached out my hand to grasp this strange object hovering above me; I made contact and my hand went right through it as if it was part of the air. I sat there on my bed staring up at the words as they continued to get dimmer and dimmer. After what felt like forever it was gone.

I turned over and checked the alarm clock, 5:46. I had to be up for school in 14 minutes anyway so I might as well get an early start on it, there's no way I'm getting any sleep after that anyway. I followed the morning routine as usual; brushed my teeth, fed my dog Jake nothing unusual. After my morning ritual I checked my time 15 minutes early, wow! This had never happened to me before as I was usually on the slow side.I decided to take my bike to school instead of the bus, it was a nice change of pace and I loved the exercise. I put my pale blue helmet, got on my silver bike and was out the door. I live in Harwood,Ohio a mildly big city but my high school was only about a mile away, on the trip I see a lot of things(No duh right?) but today was different. I felt like I had gone this was before, and I don't mean I've biked this route before that'd be lame. But I've had this exact experience before. I knew there would be a new pothole in the sidewalk I swore I couldn't have known about. I knew I'd see Mrs. Nora watering her garden, and I knew there'd be a guy in an alley who would change my life.

About 3/4th of the way to school there's an alley, not creepy or rat infested or anything; just an alley. I was going to pass it and look in it to see my previous prediction was correct; but before I could turn a man jumped out in front of me. I slammed on my brakes as hard as I could and looked up at him as I was fighting a mini-heart attack. "Sorry Al, didn't mean to scare ya too much. I just couldn't let you pass me." I looked up at him and got my first real look at the guy I near flattened. He donned a sharp red blazer, purple sunglasses and had slick blue hair. His face was a rare one where you couldn't tell the age, I wouldn't have been surprised if he said he was 30 or 70.

"Wait, how do you know my name?" I questioned, very alarmed. "It doesn't matter son, now follow me" He made beckoning motions and went back into the alley. Despite what my elders told me about following strange men into alley ways I couldn't refuse.

Kept walking toward the brick wall at the end of the alley and showed no signs of stopping, then suddenly, he turned around and produced a black briefcase from out of nowhere. He sat down on the cold concrete with crossed legs and I followed suit. When he nonchalantly opened the case I felt even more confused. It was a wristband, a shiny black wristband.

"Do you remember this, by any chance boy?" The man said with his eyebrows raised higher than i've ever seen anyone's go. "Sorry, I don't think so, should I?" "It's quite alright my boy" He said with a jolly grin on his face. "I'd have to question the laws of the universe if you said yes. Although it's entirely possible, like anything else." "I'm sorry I think I'm lost" I mumbled. "Are you sure you aren't thinking of another Allen, I'm sure there's tons in this city." He looked straight into my eyes, his bright blue piercing straight through my dark brown. "More sure than anything" He said confidently.

"Now enough chit-chat down to business. No questions till the end please I'm sure most of it will get cleared up and what I don't make clear there's probably not a straight answer for. I know the human tendency is to assign labels to everything but i'm afraid I can't provide you with your people lables. What do you call them again? Uhh…Names if memory serves. So let's just call me Z. I am here to give you a priceless gift that many beings would sacrifice everything for." He gestured at the band in the case now laying on the floor next to us."You put this on your wrist and once you do you will never be able to take it off. It will be part of you and even in an extreme case like an amputation it would simply attach to another limb or worst case scenario neck. It allows you three different save slots that you may put parts of your life in and go back to at any point in time, you keep your memories but your body is how it was then. However sleep in an exception, if you sleep a ton then go back you're still well rested is what i'm trying to convey. The Order gave this to you because you have been deemed least likely to screw up the universe. You save a state by tapping twice on the band and go back to one by putting your finger on it and sliding it towards you. Finally, I asked you if you saw this before because you screwed up massively and didn't save your state. So with a little begging to the grand council you got to go back to the morning before you got the power. I think that's all I have to tell you for now. Any questions?"
I sat there, staring at him dumbly. This was so much to take in, and he just threw all of this information at me. I decided to ask him the first thing that came to mind.

"Least likely to screw up the universe? What's that about?" "Good start! There's some pretty bad stuff you can do with this power, like become evil ruler of the galaxy or something. We've made mistakes in the past and we're trying to pervent the mistakes before they happen. Listen I know I said you could ask questions but I think it's more of a trial and error thing so I'm going to leave now. Good luck champ!" And with a thumbs up, he faded away and was gone. Wow what a long winded guy. I reached over to touch the band and it hopped on my wrist. I saved that instant, "might as well save now before I can screw anything up" I thought. I just realized that I was probably late for school! I got back onto my bike and pedaled hard all the way to school. Arriving just as the 3 minute bell rang I put my bike on the bike rack and sprinted all the way to class. I got in my seat just at the tardy bell sounded.

"Ok class" Our first period history and homeroom teacher Mr.Hout said."Take your seats." He started droning on as he read from the morning announcement paper that got delivered to him every morning. As if on cue, the second he was done the most beautiful girl I've ever seen walked into the room.

Bit of a rough draft and longer than I expected it to be! And sorry about the unfinished ending but you know... Real Life gets in the way. Be sure to comment, I'd Love some constructive criticism.
