[WP] Your child does not believe you when you say that lions, elephants, and rhinos were real animals. Write how you will explain to him or her what happened to them all.

The fire roared in shack. Arthur sat eagerly awaiting another one of his fathers stories. He enjoyed the tales of his fathers exploits. Tales of men facing down monstrosities that crawled out of the irradiated ruins or tales of the old days when people flew airplanes through the sky and explored space. Alas those times were gone replaced by endless suffering and hardship. Arthur sat patiently waiting for his father to come into the room. His father opened the door and walked in with a smile on his face. "I think you'll like the book I got. I had to trade three cans of pork for it." Arthur's father said. Arthur's face lit up in excitement. "What is it?" He said enthusiastically. His father showed him an old book, not like the crude leather bound books he was used to. "Is it an adventure story?" Arthur asked. "No... No it's about animals" his father said. "Like mutants?" Arthur said. "No" his father said sternly "And quit calling them that. It doesn't matter what the others call them they're human beings." Arthur went silent. "Well... Let's take a look" his father said flashing a smile. He sat beside Arthur and opened the book. The first page revealed a large grey beast with an elongated nose stretching down to the ground. "What is that?" Arthur asked. "It's an elephant" his father replied. "Did you ever have to kill one?" Arthur asked. His father frowned "no... they were peaceful creatures. I can still remember seeing them in the zoo when I was a boy". Arthur gave his father a look of confusion and said "you went to see them?" His father smiled "oh yes it was magical. They were magnificent. In some parts of the world they were trained and rode." Arthur's face had a look of disbelief. They flipped to the next page revealing a large hairy beast with a large circle of fur surrounding its head. Arthur started to chuckle. "It looks funny" Arthur said smiling at his father. "This one was called a lion the king of the jungle" Arthur's father said. "What's a jungle?" Arthur's asked. His fathers smile started to droop. "Why don't we find something else. What about an adventure book?" Arthur's father almost looked sad. Arthur nodded in delight as his father grabbed another book from his shelf.
