Do your symptoms make you feel like a child?

Sometimes. And yet, occasionally, just as an immature adult [M46].

Whilst I am capable of functioning in the world; I travel, hold down jobs, pay bills, look after myself, etc. I don't really feel that I live the lifestyle of an adult per se. And as a result when I look at my life, I don't really see what every other so called adult seems to pretend to have -- a point to it all. My interactions with others flips between either being too sarcastically shallow or far too deep in tone to seem anything other than juvenile or awkward. Maybe I just spend too much time alone to have grown into an adult's mindset. But I've spent a lot of time with seemingly normal grown-ups and can't work out what constitutes adult behaviour -- and that can make me feel childlike in personality.

I also have a lot of spare time, even when I'm dating, which I see as a necessity. Yet a lot of the adults around me constantly complain about the lack of time from being too busy, or are weighed by the numerous responsibilities they've manufactured to fill that time up (or so it seems to me). Most of the kids I've ever come across, just seem to want to spend it how they want to -- and that's my mantra all-over.
