Zarya: Newest Tank for Overwatch

If attractiveness is subjective then all and none of the characters are ugly, problem solved.

The problem is that making them all conform to the same beauty standard makes them all look the same, regardless of whether or not people find them attractive. It's the same reason as when people complained that all the women had the same silhouette, when even the two "attractive" male characters have distinct ones.

Stylized character can be ugly but not in a sense that people have mentioned in this thread. They might have scowls, lines on under their eyes, sharp chins, crooked noses but not the face of average unattractive\ugly human being.

Then why don't the Overwatch women have lines under their eyes? Sharp chins? Crooked noses? Why do all of them have symmetric features, small noses, accentuated eyes, smooth skins? Why do all of their features look so similar that they can be described with the same adjectives over and over? I can't even do that with the two male characters I personally find attractive, let alone the entire male roster. Again, the problem is not attractiveness, attractiveness is subjective and varies from person to person, it's lack of variety.

The only way you can make big female is either make her fat, which doesn't make sense considering all these characters are quite active which doesn't go well with gaining weight.

Look up endomorphic body types. The existence of fat tissue in no way means that a person can't be athletic. But then again, I don't see you arguing that Torbjörn's fat belly means he's not a realistic class to have. Fat only matters when you're female, right?

Or you can exaggerate her muscles which makes less sense anatomically than a buffed man since muscle tissues don't develop same way in men and women.

I don't see how muscles are inherently masculine, but whatever. I've clearly looked at different women than you.

And even if you do so, then some skin has to revealed to show that it isn't just thick armor at which point people will complain that character is showing too much skin, which judging by female character redesign thread, doesn't go well with women.

Pharah exists though. She shows no skin, is wearing sensible armour and is feminine despite that. Also, Tracer doesn't really show skin either. And neither does Mercy. And while I have a few choice words to say about each of their designs, I think they're both wonderfully functional and nicely feminine without being pandering. What I mean to say is that this argument is literally disproven by the actual existing art for this game.

Also, why would it be a problem if there were female characters who had a "masculine" muscular silhouette, no matter if it was power armour or actual muscle? The more variety the better, right? We already have four (three if you're harsh) female characters with traditionally feminine barbie-ish bodies. This is why Zarya was so readily welcomed -- because her body type and visuals are a good addition to the group. Like even if they were to chance one of the existing models to look like that, I highly doubt Widowmaker's preposterous cleavage will go anywhere.
