I find it weird, tbh. It's also a mind-gap in this scenario, such as a 32 year old dating a 45 year old is fine due to acknowledging similar behavioral and life experience, whereas an 18-21 year old dating late 20's or even early 30's is quite weird. One has seen it all and may decide to harvest someone a decade younger, whereas the other is on a discovery stage and sprouting.

I'm in mid 30's and there are times when 18-21 year old would find interest in me, but I refuse to interact toward a relationship because I know she's on the stage of flying into her exploration and I much rather not have her tied down with me when I flew already, prefer she have fun with those her age range. I look at them as the father or uncle for them as I provide friendly advice.

I did have a friend who is the same age as I. He's been dating ladies who are 18-23 year old his whole teenage and adult life. He's genuinely a great person, but I questioned him every time her brings a lady over. I then realize he finds younger women an easier to approach as he flood their mind with his life experience , talks, and offer to take them on trips out of town. =/
