260 RP from different Regions all calculated to USD

Boo this man. BOOOOOOOOO

Let's say I have two goods made by the same company and they are the exact same. Good A and Good B, we'll represent them with variables GA and GB.

GA is in Narnia where economic foundation is solid

While GB is in Middle Earth where the economic foundation is showing to be volatile.

Citizens of Narnia are not experiencing fluctuating preferences given their strong economic foundation, while Middle Earth is experiencing difficulty to purchase GB.

The company notices that's despite the volatile fluctuation of economy, that their costs to provide the product are not impacted at all in Narnia, or Middle Earth.

They also notice that given the preferences of citizens of GB that purchases are still being made, but less than when the economic foundation was solid in Middle Earth.

So the question lies: Should the company lower the cost of the product in GB?

The answer is NO.

Lowering the cost depreciates the VALUE of said product, if the product is identical it is important that the value stays relatively the same.

In the case of the price changes at EU, EU is actually pulling ahead! They get MORE RP for LESS dollars. That's not why the change was made however, this change was made to normalize, (so/so) the value of RP in any given country in respect to the Dollar. It has nothing to do with median income levels, economic foundations, taxes, exchange rates, etc.

GA and GB are the same product, therefore the value of the product should not differ pending on what region it is in, for that is bad business.

However if for some miraculous reason everybody in the EU, and other countries stopped purchasing RP, I guarantee riot will do one of two things:

subscription based game like WoW

Depreciate the value of RP across the board (make RP cheaper to buy at a normalized rate)

Are you willing to gamble on which they do? I bet I know which route they will go, well at least which will be the most lucrative.
