[3.5] Need help on what kind of character would fit into my current party I'm joining

A big deal in the story is that special weapons and artifacts from past heroes that are actually a few of me and my buddies' past characters from a previous game (same universe) have been found in ancient ruins and unlock special properties as your character grows, and the one that nobody uses is actually the Large-Sized Fullblade that my old Dragonborn used (particularly because nobody else can wield the damn thing) So maybe making a Cleric would be a neat option, although that still makes 5/6 of the characters melee. Taking all the feats required to wield that sword properly would likely humble the cleric's power level down a tad so that my less-than-optimized compadres don't feel too underwhelming

It's also an undead-heavy campaign, so I was thinking of making a Radiant Servant of Pelor, because that's one of my favorite flavors of fantasy RPG characters ever.

Another stipulation is that I bet with one of the members of the campaign that Michael Phelps wouldn't get more than two gold medals this year, so I lost that bet and now my character has to be a demon girl, so a Lesser Tiefling.

Character might look something like this

Base Stats: Strength - 18 Dexterity - 8 Constitution - 14 Intelligence - 12 Wisdom - 16 Charisma - 14 Likely putting points into Wis every 4 levels and getting items that increase strength for hitting or charisma for turning

Flaw: Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Fullblade) Flaw: Monkey Grip Level 1 - Fighter 1: Power Attack, Cleave Level 2 - Cleric 1: Sun and Healing Domains Level 3 - Cleric 2: Extra Turning Level 4 - Cleric 3 Level 5 - Cleric 4 Level 6 - Cleric 5: Extend Spell Level 7 - Cleric 6 Level 8 - Radiant Servant of Pelor 1 Level 9 - Radiant Servant 2: Persistent Spell

Take all the levels of RSoP, then finish off with the last levels of cleric and probably throw in Divine Metamagic for Persistent Spell (or not, because it could be pretty lame in an average-power group) and maybe Great Cleave for more flavorful giant-sword swinging action.

Seems like a fun character to play mechanically and shouldn't break the game too hard for the newer players if I don't let it.
