African Proverb Says "The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel the warmth" What time in your life have you been closest to starting the fire?

I was super young (about 5 yrs old) and lived in extreme poverty in central Mexico, I mean, some days we had electricity, no tv, dirt floor, burning trash kind of poverty. I used to play outside with the plants and animals or the empty lots. To me it was paradise: I got to play with frogs, mud, grasshoppers, made roads for my cars with my friends, played soccer, etc.

These 3 older kids used to walk by and call me negro because I am dark skinned. They would throw rocks at me and just generally do fucked up shit to me every time they would see me, like using their dog to intimidate me or that kind of stuff (Mexico is racist as fuck and they love to deny it).

Idk where the hell I got the idea to nail 1 nail through a plank every time they did something to me. And when I finally had it, I cornered them and told them that I was going to kill them. I made them cry and made them say a lot of stuff to please me (call each other names, insult their own mom, insult the virgin mary, etc). My mom found the scene and stopped it. I only remembered it because she brought it up not too long ago and she thinks it is very funny.

I turned out ok. No violence, self-harm, addictions, or any weirdness, other than that I really get exhausted after being social for too long. Some people are shit, but I feel love for most of humanity.
