AITA for embarrassing my brother's friend's parent when she thought that I am the house maid?

I mean I don’t think housemaids are that uncommon depending what economic background you’re from. I used to do similar work for really rich people and tbh the vibe was very much they never have much to say, never rude, but they also might call you by another employees name while you’re wearing a name tag (not maliciously just aloof). They don’t care. This lady was interested in someone she thought was a maid, viewing her a person! (I know, such high standards /s) which actually seems like a pretty nice interaction if it weren’t for the giant, glaring, racist mistake.

It’s kind of like - a security guard tells you that you don’t need to go through the metal detector because you are pregnant. You aren’t pregnant. The sentiment would have been appreciated if you were pregnant but instead you just feel insecure about your body.

I am not sure OP did the best move for not being an asshole. But sometimes its worth being an asshole to look out for ourselves. The lady would have been embarrassed either way anyway.
