Of course it isn't, but do you think the masses are really self thinkers and not hive minders? Do you think if 200,000 people watched a video of him saying not to buy into it, while also saying of course he is buying it, that it isn't going to make a percentage of people go "Well he's buying it so I might as well"? Change doesn't happen overnight, and Blizzard building into this monstrosity over years shows how a dedicated slow burn into players minds conditions them. EA didn't change their bullshit on Battlefront because a minority of people spoke up about it, they did it because popular promoters spoke up about it and that could affect a percentage of their sales enough to actually matter.
