AITA for wanting my steak well done and wanting the same quality steak as my boyfriend.

Not gonna lie, I resented pregnant women a little bit after food handling training. Like, I respect the dangers, absolutely I do, but those bitches are canaries in a coal mine and their doctors should warn them better.

Like my trainer implied WE would be responsible for miscarrages if we weren't 110% clean in our food handling.

Then when I was on the job, I was like, the only person who gave a shit. Glove standards? Out the window, temp logs? When we get to them.

The only spot where I was allowed to put my foot down was the slicers. Lazy fucks would put meat on the cheese slicer? NO. Total shutdown, sanitize the fuck out of the thing, and lazy got themselves a write up.

People would do well to read up on food safety. Even if there is nothing you can do, it's good information to have.

And if a meat department smells like a graveyard? Walk the fuck out.
